Biography

Band was created in 2001 by a former Dominus leader Michael Poulsen. This man was already well known in Danish metal scene. In 2002 they release their first demo together (their stuff was different that time). After issuing their second demo they have done studio album The Strength/The Sound/The Songs. This work won many awards including Best Album in the Danish Metal Music Awards in 2005.

In 2007, they have released another great album Rock the Rebel/Metal the Devil. This one was the best selling and the band had an opportunity to play together with Megadeath and Metallica(it is to mention, that Volbeat is going to play together with Metallica again in 2017).

In 2008 they issued another album Guitar Gangsters and Cadillac Blood which also was very successful and hit the top in Denmark.

In 2010, they released Above Heaven/Beyond Hell and went on tour to play their single concerts as well as to participate in some great festivals.

Their fifth studio work appeared in 2013. This one was called Outlaw Gentlemen & Shady Ladies. This work was a product of cooperation with Robert Caggiano who finally joined the band. The album hit the top in Canada, Germany, Austria and other countries.

2017 Tour

Danish rock band is in the tour again. They are launching their 2017 concert voyage across Northern America kicking off May 5th with their participation in Carolina Rebellion Festival. They are going to play in many US/Canada cities and are going to participate in the Rock on the Range festival as well as in the Rockfest. Volbeat is going to support their sixth studio album.
