Biography

Future American country start was born in 1978 at Jackson, Kentucky. In 2004, he created a band named Sunday Valley, which gained success. However, in 2012, he decided to leave the group and to start his solo career.

Former Sunday Valley leader made a great solo debut in 2013 with his hit High Top Mountain. The secret of his success was in stretching boundaries of his genre. In 2014, Simpson issued his first studio album Metamodern Sounds in Country Music, which climbed to the Top Ten of country charts. This album was nominated for Grammy as the best country album.

In 2016, Sturgill released his next studio work A Sailor’s Guide to Earth including his hit Brace for Impact. This album was also nominated for Grammy as the Album of the Year.

Two of country music’s most exciting songwriters are teaming up for “A Good Look’n Tour.” Last year, Sturgill Simpson released SOUND & FURY, his album and Netflix anime film of the same name, and he also produced Country Squire, the latest album by Kentucky songwriter Tyler Childers. The two will play North American shows together through the spring, showcasing their surprising, electrifying brands of country.
