Nickelback Review

This band comes from Canada and was created in 1995. This bans is one of the most commercially successful groups in Canada. They have sold more than 50 millions albums. Their most popular song “How You Remind Me” was the best-selling song of a decade. If you want to see them live, you can buy Nickelback concert tickets online here for their upcoming tour.

Nickelback is a post grunge band, which was a kind of reply to US Creed group. Their best single “How You Remind Me” was produced in 2001 and broke through many charts in several countries. Kroeger started as a cover singer but he was soon got tired of playing other musicians’ songs and decided to create something on his own.

The official bands birth date is 1995. However, they have gathered together to work on two following albums in 1996 only. Their first full length album was “Curb”. This group is unique as they managed themselves. Chad Kroeger made promotion on the radio, his brother Mike managed distribution, Peake was doing their website.

In 2000 their second album “The State” appeared. At this time Canadian radio stations turned themselves towards the local musicians and Nickelback was in the right place and in the right time. This band started to tour across Canada and gave around 200 concerts there.

Their third album “The Long Road” appeared in 2003. This one included their charting single “Someday” which was criticized for being similar to “How You Remind Me”. In 2005 there was another release from the group. This time new album was even better as it was in top 30 for two years! About seven million copies were sold! It is a great result for a post grunge group.

In November 2008 was released their 6th studio album called “Dark Horse”. This one was also very popular and commercially successful. In the beginning of a new decade of the 2000th Chad Kroeger began to work together with another Canadian rock star Avril Lavigne. Their successful partnership soon grew into a marriage in 2013. The group released their first compilation including the very best band’s songs.

“No Fixed Address”, their eighth album appeared in 2014. The band signed a contract with another studio Universal Republic.
