Muse is a British rock band created by Matt Bellamy (vocals, keyboards, guitar), Dominic Howard (drums) and Chris Wolstenholme (bass guitar and back vocal). This group mixes different styles in his art such as art rock, electronic, progressive metal as well as rock opera and classic music. Biography
The band started in 1994 and as many others they have changed several names before their current one. They was called Gothic Plague, Fixed Penalty and even Rocket Baby Dolls. Finally, in 1997 they have called themselves Muse and released their first studio EP.
In 1998 they release their Muscle Museum EP. The band’s style was so emotive and passionate that they were invited in the United States and signed their first contract there with Maverick Records.
The next album was released in 1999 (Showbiz). This one was their first full studio album. Then, two years later appeared their Origin of Symmetry, which was platinum in the United Kingdom.
Absolution (the next album of the band) broke through American charts. Muse tour in North America started in the spring of 2004. Absolution went gold in the United States. In the United Kingdom this album gave Muse platinum certification.
The next Muse studio album was released in 2006 (Black Holes and Revelations). This one won British charts and was number one in the UK. This one was in top ten US charts as well. Muse toured US, Europe and Australia in support of this album. Their live concerts gave them several accolades.
In 2009 the Resistance album appeared. This one was number one in many countries across the planet and Muse kicked off a concert tour. In 2012 they have released the official theme for Summer Olympics which took place in London.
In 2012 they released their next The 2nd Law album and Muse launched a large tour across Europe and other continents. Three years later in 2015 they have issued their Drones album which is the group’s last work until now. Muse Drones Tour 2017 is upcoming and here there are a few words about the event.
