British virtual band Gorillaz appeared on the stage in 1998. This group was created by Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett. There are four animated members – 2-D (vocals, keyboards), Noodle (guitar, keys), Murdoc Niccals (bass, vocals), Russel Hobbs (drums). The band debuted with the single Tomorrow Comes Today, which was followed by their famous Clint Eastwood. They have issued their first full length album in 2001 (called Gorillaz). They became popular the same year and sold over 7 000 000 copies of the album worldwide.
For their next album, Albarn turned to danger Mouse (the DJ who mashed up The Beatles White Album and Jay-Z’s Black Album). In 2005, they have released their next hit Demon Days. The new album was ready in 2007, but Plastic Beach was released in 2010 only.
