Biography
The band started even earlier in 1996 when their leader Chris Martin (vocal, keyboardist) combined his efforts with Jonny Buckland (guitar) at UCL (University College of London).
The first name of the band was Pectoralz. Later, the duo changed its name to Starfish and grew up to trio with Guy Berriman (bass). Will Champion (drums) was the last guy to join the band and in 1998 the quarter renamed itself “Coldplay”. Their first album “Parachutes” was nominated for the Mercury Prize and the second one “A Rush of Blood to the Head” won many awards and was the Album of the Year according to NME. This one was the worldwide best-seller.

In the next two years Coldplay were touring and giving concerts across the World. Their studio work was paused and they have released only one single called “Christmas light” in 2010.
Next album appeared in 2011 and was called “Mylo Xyloto”. It was almost as successful as its predecessors as it won top places in 24 countries across the planet.
Their next album “Ghost Stories” appeared in 2014 and also was in the top of the charts in Europe and North America. The band released its 7th album “A Head Full of Dreams” in 2015.
