Coldplay Review

“Cause in a sky, ’cause in a sky full of stars I think I saw you”

Coldplay’s star lit in 2000 with their single “Yellow” which made the band famous across the planet. This group did not stop to experiment with different instruments and styles during its entire career and still is a delight to our ears. By the way, here you can find Coldplay tickets for the upcoming band’s tours!

Biography

The band started even earlier in 1996 when their leader Chris Martin (vocal, keyboardist) combined his efforts with Jonny Buckland (guitar) at UCL (University College of London).
The first name of the band was Pectoralz. Later, the duo changed its name to Starfish and grew up to trio with Guy Berriman (bass). Will Champion (drums) was the last guy to join the band and in 1998 the quarter renamed itself “Coldplay”. You can see them live by buying Coldplay concert tickets for their 2017 tour across USA, Canada and Ireland.

Their first album “Parachutes” was nominated for the Mercury Prize and the second one “A Rush of Blood to the Head” won many awards and was the Album of the Year according to NME. Many-many rock musicians stop their career here as they are popular and have no further aims to achieve. However, Coldplay are true workaholics as they released their third album in 2005.

This one was the worldwide best-seller.

Coldplay gave some concerts on 2007 and recorded “Viva La Vida or Death And all his Friends”. This was the fourth studio album of the band. “Viva La Vida…” became the fastest selling album in history! On 2008, Coldplay went on tour and kicked off at Brixton Academy.

In the next two years Coldplay were touring and giving concerts across the World. Their studio work was paused and they have released only one single called “Christmas light” in 2010.

Next album appeared in 2011 and was called “Mylo Xyloto”. It was almost as successful as its predecessors as it won top places in 24 countries across the planet.

Their next album “Ghost Stories” appeared in 2014 and also was in the top of the charts in Europe and North America. The band released its 7th album “A Head Full of Dreams” in 2015.
Coldplay won 62 awards in total from 209 nominations. It was four time the Best British Group and has got seven! Grammy awards. The band today is truly a legend of rock and you can watch them on stage if you buy Coldplay tour tickets.

Coldplay tried itself in many musical styles with “rock” postfix. Chris Martin called his style “limestone rock” in comparison to hard rock. During all its more than 20 year’s career, the band never stopped experimenting with different instruments and directions.

Coldplay is a band which has never changed its members. The quarter works together since 1998. Buy Coldplay tickets to see them live this year.
